Waste battery disposal
Used batteries do not belong in the residual waste. We take back used batteries free of charge. Simply drop them off at our store in Saarbrücken or send them back to our shipping warehouse. You are legally obligated to return used batteries. Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a sign consisting of a crossed-out trash can and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing harmful substances.
- „Cd" stands for cadmium.
- „Hg" stands for mercury.
- „Pb" stands for lead.
Our service provider GRS provides a list of other collection points on its website. http://www.grs-batterien.de/
Electrical devices disposal
Two way Radios, cell phones and all other electronic devices do not belong in the household waste! These devices are marked with a "crossed-out trash can" and require separate disposal. Such devices may contain hazardous and environmentally dangerous substances. Please take these items to a designated collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
Packaging:
We only sell goods for which the requirements of the Packaging Ordinance are met. Our upstream suppliers have fulfilled their obligation to register with the Federal Environment Agency. Accumulating outer packaging is licensed. We reuse old packaging and cushioning materials and, if possible, reusable packaging.
With regard to the sales packaging that we put into circulation for the first time in Germany, filled with goods and delivered to private end consumers, our company has joined the nationwide system of Landbell AG, Mainz, to ensure compliance with our statutory obligations under Section 7 of the German Packaging Act (VerpackG). Further information can be found on the website of Landbell AG.
